Donald Joseph Qualls better known as his screen title DJ Qualls was born in the US. He is a producer, actor and model. Following his fame-making roles on Road Trip and The New Guy Hustle & Flow he was featured in over 20 feature movies including The Core. The actor has also been featured in more than 22 shows on television such as Breaking Bad Supernatural Scrubs Lost Law & Order as well as other. Qualls has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma at age 14 and has been fighting the disease ever since. After two years of treatment, his cancer went into remission. The treatment began so early that it caused a serious effect on the body, which slowed the growth of his body. Once he started acting financial security seemed to be his ultimate goal as his experience with poverty had been a part of his early years. In an interview, he stated that if I don't achieve money security or find myself feeling out of control in the world, then I'm going to be miserable. He also looks back at his youth and hopes to address the issue of the bullying. DJ says that "Cruelty breaks the heart of my heart." The ideal character for him in films and in his life is the father. However, he does admit that directors don't usually make him the ideal choice for those kinds of characters. He would like to become father one day in order to spend more time with his child and less to his career.
